privacy policy

BeSparking (Jan Krans) handles your data with care. This page explains in plain language what data we collect through besparking.com, why, and what rights you have.
what data we collect
Only what you enter yourself in the download form:
- your business email address;
- which e‑books you requested;
- whether you signed up for the Spark newsletter;
- the language of the page (Dutch or English) and the time of your request.
The website uses no cookies, no advertising and no tracking or analytics. The visual effects (such as the sparks following your cursor) run entirely in your own browser and send nothing anywhere.
what we use your data for
- to email you the download links of the e‑books you requested;
- if you ticked the box: to send you the Spark newsletter with new insights, frameworks and keynote dates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter or by emailing info@besparking.com.
We never sell or share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
where your data is stored
The form data is stored in a secured Google environment (Google Sheets) and the confirmation email is sent via Google. The website is hosted by Netlify. A GDPR‑compliant email tool may be used to send the newsletter. Links to Amazon for the paperbacks are covered by Amazon\'s own privacy policy.
how long we keep your data
For as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, or if you only requested the e‑books without the newsletter, we keep your data for a maximum of 12 months and delete it afterwards.
your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data, and the right to object or to data portability. Email info@besparking.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
